At Sunset Skin Cancer and Medical Clinic, we are proud to have a team of highly qualified and compassionate doctors who are dedicated to providing you with the best healthcare services.
Dr Gerhard Beukes holds an MBChB, is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), and has a Diploma in Skin Cancer Diagnostics, including medical and surgical treatment. He also holds a Diploma in Traditional Chinese Medicine, specialising in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine.
With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr Beukes is a highly skilled and dedicated general practitioner. Outside of medicine, he enjoys endurance horse riding and exploring the open road on his yellow motorbike.
MB BCh BAO, MICGP
Dr Izhar completed his medical studies from National University of Ireland in 2016 and gained extensive clinical experience in Malaysia. He is also a member of Irish College of General Practitioner and was working as a Family Medicine Specialist in his home country before relocating to Australia.
Dr Izhar has a particular interest in Chronic Disease Management, including conditions such as Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, and Dyslipidaemia. He is also passionate about children’s health, women’s health, mental health and the care of older adults. Please note that he does not currently perform skin checks.
He is fluent in both English and Malay. Outside of work, Dr Izhar enjoys playing football, running and travelling.
Dr Ongayo graduated with a doctor of medicine from Xavier University, Atneo de Cagayan University, Philippines in 2008. She is a diplomate in Family and Community Medicine, Philippines.
Dy Ongayo is trained to provide a comprehensive and holistic approach in counselling and family meetings for psychosocial issues detected among patients and family members.
Dr Ongayo continued on working as a Genral Practtioner in the rural areas before deciding to move to Australia. She finds a spefcial interest in adult medicine and geriatrics.
During her off time. she loves to spend time with her family and play with her kids. Her hobbies are listening to music, baking and going to the beach.
Dr Ongayo speaksd English, Tagalog ( Filipino) and Cebueno.

Dr Gadi Ali graduated from Gezira University in Sudan in 2009 and holds a Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK). She has been practising since 2011 with extensive experience in general medicine, telemedicine, women’s health, and home care services.
Over the past 11 years, Dr Gadi has worked in family medicine in Saudi Arabia, demonstrating both passion and professionalism in her approach. She is fluent in both Arabic and English and enjoys a quiet and simple lifestyle.
Alam graduated from Rajshahi University, Bangladesh and holds a Membership of the
Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), UK.
With over 12 years of extensive clinical experience, Dr Alam provides a comprehensive and holistic patient-centered care.
Dr Alam has a passion for all aspects of general practice with a special interest in Adult and Geriatric health, Chronic Diseases management (diabetes, hypertension, obesity, cardiac and respiratory diseases), Mental health, Women’s health and Child health.
Before moving to Geraldton, Dr Alam worked as a General Practitioner in Lifecare Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Dr Alam fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi and Urdu.
Outside of medicine, he enjoys travelling, singing, playing cricket, spending time with family and friends.
Please note: Dr Lim does not offer Skin Check appointments. These appointments will need to be booked with Dr Beukes.
Dr Yen Lim graduated from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland in 2006. She then went on to train at Glasgow Hospital and gained a wide variety of experience both in Glasgow and the surrounding areas.
Dr Lim has been a practicing GP since 2012 in both the UK and Australia. Having practiced in many areas in Australia, Dr Lim prefers the more laid back lifestyle of rural and regional areas.
Dr Lim enjoys all aspects of general medicine and is actively involved in overseas Medical Charity Programs. As well as English, Dr Lim is also fluent in Cantonese and Malay.
